WhatsApp has launched its video calling feature for Android users, but it is in beta. So if you want to try WhatsApp video calling feature then you have to register for WhatsApp beta program if you not already registered. Click the link below to participate in WhatsApp beta program and you will become eligible to get latest whatsapp beta updates.

You will see this window click on "beta" to proceed.

After that you will be asked to provide you google account, so sign in with your google account. Then you will see the screen as below click on "Become a Tester" button to participate in the beta program.
Note: Sign in with the same google account as you signed in the playstore.

Now open playstore and you will see the Beta update so update and use whatsapp video calling.

[ROM Share] CM14 Android Nougat 7.0 for Xiaomi Redmi 1S

CyanogenMod 14, Android Nougat 7.0 for Xiaomi Redmi 1S.

Hi folks,

This is really a great news for Redmi 1s owner's because android's latest os i.e Android Nougat 7.0 is now available for Xiaomi Redmi 1s. Follow this guide to know how to install Android Nougat 7.0 on Redmi 1s.

Status of CM14 for Redmi 1S CM14 (CyanogenMod 14) Nougat 7.0 ROM:

– RIL (Calls, SMS, Data)
– Wifi
– Bluetooth
– Video Playback
– Audio
– Sensors

– Camera

How to Install Android Nougat 7.0 on Redmi 1S

You need 3 things before you proceed

1. A PC with ADB drivers installed
2. Download ROM package and Gapps Package
3. Recovery either CWM or TWRP

Download all the neccessory files before proceeding (Recommended)

1. ADB Drivers


2. ROM and Gapps Package

Download the ROM package here

Download the Gapps Package here

Note : Download pico version its recommended 

3. Recovery TWRP

Note : The file is an .img file you need to flash it on your phone to proceed further in custom rom installion process.

Step 1. How to install ADB Drivers

Open the downloaded file [adb-setup-1.4.2.exe]

Install process:
1. Run it (Require administrator privileges)
2. Press Y/Yes to install ADB and Fastboot or N/No to skip
3. Press Y/Yes to install ADB system-wide or N/No for current user only
4. Press Y/Yes to install Drivers or N/No to skip
5. Continue Driver installation
6. 15 seconds passed - finished!

Step 2. How to Install Custom Recovery (TWRP)

1. Turn your phone in fastboot mode by pressing power key + volume down key simultaneously.
2. Connect to your pc via USB
3. Go to the path on PC where the recovery is downloaded or saved
4. Press shift button + right click and open command window
5. Type command "fastboot flash recovery  filename.img".
                Example: E:> fasboot flash recovery twrp.img
6. Remove your phone from pc and press power button + volume up key and then you will be in custom recovery mode.

How to Install Custom ROM (OS)

1. Paste ROM Package and Gapps Package to external SD card
2. Boot your device in Recovery Mode by pressing  as in Step 2 (press and hold vol+ key and Power key simultaniously)
3. In recovery mode you will see some options select "wipe"
 and check wipe data, dalvik cache, system cache and internal storage and proceed. After that go back to main menu of recovery by back button.
4. Now select Install option from menu and browse ROM and Gapps package which you pasted in external SD card one by one and install them both.
5. Now you can select reboot option from main menu and reboot the device.

All task done now enjoy the Android Nougat 7.0 on your device

[Tips & Tutorial] How to Share Files Between Phone and PC Through FTP

FTP: File Transfer Protocol is used to transfer files between two devices. User can send or receive files to or from PC or Smartphone. There are some steps to use FTP that are given below

Step 1. FTP works over WiFi network so connect the two devices on same network. 

Example : Device 1 (PC) connected to WiFi network "IPACCT" and Device 2 (Android Phone) connected to the same WiFi network "IPACCT".

Step 2. Install a FTP client on your Android Device, but on some smartphones the FTP client is inbuilt you can check it in file manager. If you don't have FTP client you can download it from google play store.

Step 3. Turn ON FTP server on your android device. After that you get a ftp link to that server. Now you can access the file system through that link on your PC.

Step 4. Enter the FTP  URL in PC's Address bar and hit enter key to access the file system of Android device.

[App Share & Review] Simple Control - Lollipop Style Virtual Buttons

Simple control an android app that let you enable the android lollipop style virtual buttons without having android lollipop update. Check out this post it will help you to know about this app.

You have to first install the app then do the following things :

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Simple Control [Turn it "ON"]

Now open the app and in app setting you will find where you want to show these buttons on screen.
(Like left side, right side or bottom)
